Today’s idiom is “bent over backwards

Speaker A: I bent over backwards to make sure that the project was finished on time.

Speaker B: Did he thank you for your hard work.

Speaker A:  No, he didn’t say anything.

It is nearly impossible to bend over backwards.  As an idiom expression, it means that you give some extra effort and work as hard as possible to help someone.

Most parents bend over backwards to help their children.

Try to make your own sentences using this idiom :)
